Sometimes, when a civilization is unlucky enough, it might catch sight of a fraction of space where no stars shine their light, and mistakenly think it must be an empty zone
By the time they realize a smiling void is in front of them, it's too late.
No one knows where it comes from, no one knows why it does what it does, but it is inescapable and inevitable.
Its maw opens and swallows all in its path, mercilessly ripping all who may be there to cross it.
Sometimes, if you're lucky enough to survive a bit longer, you might catch a glimpse of its eye
But you will take the sight to your grave, for when the monster is done, there isn't even proof that there used to be a celestial body there.
In their final communications, the monster's victims described it solely as "Voracious".
A planet Voracious... bigger than ever fathomable, eternally hungry.
But this story is not about them! This is the story of a little fellow who lives in peace in a beautiful village...
Surrounded by wonderful creatures, pyons, tartas, minkos and others, the village is led by Sorcerer Eribetra, who watches over them with a loving, caring gaze
And in the final building of the road, coated in red is the home of one particular villager
A home where flin spends his dearest time... doing nothing
He doesn't talk to the others much, he bides his time tidying up his non-euclidean home, decorating his garden (with help from the purple hand of Ceasorp)...
...or looking at the stars with his water telesc- wait what the zorp!?
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
flin stares at the sky in shock and awe, unable to believe what he's looking at...
...and so do the rest of the villagers...
flin slides to the scene as fast as he can
"The planet Voracious has reached our solar system, it's only a matter of time before it gets here...", says Eribetra,
"Do you have the orb still, flin? It might be just what we need to defeat it."
"Oh, good, dear flin, we have hope to save our village and our planet. You'll have to find a way into outer space to vanquish the demon Voracious and save our people.
I ask, no, beg this of you, for you are the only one here capable, and the one I trust the most."
"The Voracious monster grows bigger by the minute, you'll need to go as soon as you can in order to reach it before it does us..."
The hand of Ceasorp outfits flin with his car...
...and his cool hat!
"Go now, flin. I'll eagerly await your return."
Yeah!
flin hops on his car...
And hits the road, as his friends wave at him, praying for his success
Will flin manage to defeat the voracious creature in time?
The road is long and treacherous, and the beast just keeps on getting bigger...
Eventually, it has drained the sun enough of its energy. It turns blue and sad, and so does the sky around the world.
Cataclysm occurs and is suffocated before it can even go supernova. All the energy and matter in the sun quickly gets reabsorbed into Voracious.
flin watches this happen, knowing what will happen should he fail his mission...
And in the village, the people do the same
In order to protect his people from both the incoming radiation and lack of heat, Eri puts up a shield around the village...
...hoping it will protect them long enough while flin does his thing.
Meanwhile, the sun's energy has granted voracious newfound power and a new look.
flin knows what... or more like, who he's looking for
But he's afraid that after all this time, she won't see him as a friend anymore
Almost as if sent to prove him wrong, she arrives on the scene, her sole presence lighting the place up where the sun can no longer do...
Her fluffy fur coming over the horizon to meet her old friend, she's excited
Around these lands they call her the Flying Beagle, for even if she isn't really a beagle, her ability to soar the skies are second to none...
But to her friends... she's called Ohana.
She's so unbelievably excited to see her friend again, and the feeling is reciprocated deeply
flin hops on her back, they aim at the monster...
...and they reach for the stars!
Abandoning the planet, the pair get ready for their final stand...
I sure hope our hero doesn't get too dizzy after all this commotion!
Voracious is here.
And his presence is felt down on the planet too, as it exerts its destructive will on its sacred lands, threatening flin's people
Eri struggles to hold the shield together as a pyon called Dolla, terrified, stands behind him looking for comfort.
The Tartas and Minkos are too chud-coded to understand the gravity of the situation.
Eri performs a formerly thought impossible feat... the act of multiplication, in order to stand a chance at holding the border.
However, their growth is linear while the creature's pressure increases exponentially, they are not able to hold the shield for long...
And so the Eris and Betras disappear back into the main one, leaving the shield to crumble...
"I pray for your success, flin, and I pray for your safety too..."
"You are all the hope we have..."
Unable to keep going, Ohana tail-whips flin into the planet Voracious as she returns to help the people of the planet get to safety.
Unstoppable force against immovable object, the final stand begins.
flin enters the giant's mouth, bracing himself for anything that may come.
Inside, flin finds himself alone with the orb in a deep purple space full of shapes and sounds, echoes of the universe itself forever immortalized in the innards of a monster.
He spots a bright light and concludes it must be the planet's core. He starts going for it...
But quickly realizes the space is hostile, and wants him to join the rest of the shapes and rubble all around him.
His body tearing apart, he tries his best to inch ever so closer to the core...
...to no avail
When all seems lost, the orb starts glowing...
...and grants flin its unlimited power!
Having regained his body, strength and will, he launches an all-out attack on the monster's body!
And in the village, too, hope is recovered after the sorcerer's own apprentice joins him in trying to hold the shield back against the menace!
He lends his power to the leader, and together they successfully keep their people safe.
flin reaches the core and attacks it with all his might!
Shrinking the beast down little by little, he manages to get out and attacks it directly...
Darkness stands no chance against the eternal light of hope.
It gets shrunk down until it can be trapped in a jar, and thrown into the collection
Back on the planet, flin lands back in the village to greet his friends
"I knew you could do it, flin! I always believed you could do it, my dear friend...", says Eri, as he gives flin a big hug
With his newfound powers, flin uses them to restore planet STEV to the way it was before...
And builds his people a new home. They endearingly called it the Tamapartments.
Back home after a long day of work, having saved all his friends, flin can now go back to doing what he loves the most...
Spend his time... doing absolutely nothing.
